  Dr Rivera was wonderful, extremely caring and thorough However, the office manager/ "head vet tech" was a complete lunatic. My cat had been shot in a freak accident and was in their office for 30 minutes before receiving pain medication. When I addressed my concern with the office manager she informed me SHE examined my pet and determined it was not "life threatening" and I did not call ahead. Wonderful; however he was SHOT & was howling in pain. How cruel can you be? The office manager also proceeded to yell at me and I even had to ask her more than once to step away from me. She responded with "That's the way she is". After paying over 1k for medical services, I was charged $35 for a disc copy of my X-rays. I've never been treated so poorly, especially during such a terrifying situation. All of the remaining staff was very courteous and friendly. I've read other reviews about the horrid encounters clients have experienced with the manager. Her behavior is completely unacceptable. I highly recommend Dr.Thomas at Sandhills Veterinary Office off Clemson Rd. Update- it turned out after paying over 1k in medical bills my cat had a fractured pelvis and the bullet remained in side of his. He had to have a femoral head osteomy which cost other 1k in medical bills- all which was overlooked by Companion Animal Hospital even though they took multiple X-rays. I would never recommend this establishment to anyone. The "owner" who responded under my review- is the lunatic "office manager" herself. Please stay far away from this place. I have records from Companion Animal Hospital as well as Xrays- and then records and xrays from his follow up visit the NEXT day at Sandhills Vet where he had to have surgery. Companion Animal Hospital is lucky I did not pursue legal action for the money wasted and the precious time wasted while my cat suffered in their office!
